About The Position

The Events Kitchen Supervisor will be responsible for off-site kitchen operations, managing a team of culinary professionals, and overseeing the production of food at off-site events and functions. The Kitchen Supervisor has a commitment to producing high quality food, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Kitchen Supervisor in a large-scale catering operation, or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation
  • Proven leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and direct a team of culinary professionals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required
  • Food Safety Certification (e.g., ServSafe, Food Protection Manager)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the operations of an off-site kitchen including equipment set-up, food check-in, food preparation, cooking, and presentation
  • Manage a culinary team including kitchen assistants and pantry, in the execution of off-site events and functions
  • Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality in all dishes
  • Ensure all food products are prepared and served in accordance with industry standards and health and safety regulations
  • Work with a variety of cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and presentation styles
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Collaborate with catering sales and event management teams to plan and execute successful events
  • Attend and participate in company meetings and training sessions to stay informed of company policies, procedures, and initiatives
  • Stay current on trends and incorporate new techniques and methods into daily operations
  • Mentor and train new employees, to help them grow and succeed
  • Performs other duties associated with the position that are reasonably assigned to support the overall needs of the business
