Position Summary Under the direction of the Operations Manager the Event Housekeeper is a part-time position that assists in facility upkeep. This role will pay an hourly rate of $17.81 to $18.00. About the Venue The LA County Fair is a large annual event held at Fairplex in Pomona, featuring food vendors, entertainment, and attractions. It is a fast-paced, high-volume environment that requires strong organization and teamwork to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for guests.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in janitorial maintenance.
  • Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and working knowledge of cleaning equipment.
  • Adhering to health and safety requirements.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail Strong communication skills.
  • Must have valid driver license to operate company vehicles.
  • Customer service focused.
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be available to work Wednesday – Sunday for the Month of May 2026.)
  • Must have demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the continuous cleaning of the facility, as well as keeping the environment safe and hazard free for guests, patrons, and staff, this will include mopping, emptying trash cans, dusting, etc.
  • Responsible for ensuring the venue is ready to go for all events and presentable at all times.
  • Safely operate golf carts and work trucks to access various on-site bar locations, performing cleaning, restocking, and general maintenance to maintain operational standards.
  • Communicate in a friendly, respectful, and understanding manner with both colleagues and guests alike.
  • Politely give consistent, timely and accurate information and find answers when unsure.
  • Team player working well with employees within the department as well as other departments.
  • Performs event set-up and tear down, custodial, housekeeping and light maintenance tasks as assigned.
