About The Position

The Event House Person plays a key role in creating memorable experiences for our guests by ensuring all event spaces are properly set up, maintained, and broken down according to event specifications. This hands-on position supports the Events and Banquets team in delivering seamless service, maintaining a polished environment, and responding quickly to on-site needs before, during, and after each function.

Requirements

  • Previous hospitality or event setup experience preferred, but not required.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs frequently.
  • Comfortable working in varied outdoor conditions including sun, wind, and uneven terrain.
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented with a positive, team-focused attitude.
  • Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed for event schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, arrange, and break down event spaces according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and supervisor instructions.
  • Move, lift, and position event furnishings including tables, chairs, linens, stages, dance floors, umbrellas, and décor.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of event areas, storage rooms, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Safely operate carts and dollies to transport equipment and supplies.
  • Assist with outdoor event preparations including lighting, shade structures, and heating elements as needed.
  • Respond promptly to guest or team requests during events to ensure smooth execution.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation standards, including proper lifting techniques and equipment handling.
  • Communicate effectively with the Events, Culinary, and Facilities teams to ensure setup accuracy and timeliness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support successful event operations.
