About The Position

Talladega Superspeedway, created in 1969 by NASCAR founder Bill France, Sr., is known as 'the Greatest Race Track in the World.' This 2.66-mile track features 33 degrees of banking in the turns and is recognized as NASCAR's Most Competitive venue. The facility is family-friendly, especially with the introduction of the Talladega Garage Experience in 2019, which immerses guests in motorsports. The track hosts two major NASCAR weekends each year and is conveniently located off I-20 between Birmingham, AL, and Atlanta, GA. The Gate Guards play a crucial role in maintaining the security and accessibility of the facility during events.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and related experience.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends and work in all types of weather.

Responsibilities

  • Open and close gates of the facility.
  • Greet all people entering the facility.
  • Request all visitors sign waivers.
  • Responsible for keeping people out of unauthorized areas.
  • Communicate with Security Managers to relay information about track activity and on property needs during an event.
