The Saint Louis Zoo Events Team is looking for enthusiastic and service-oriented individuals to join the team as day-of Events Facilitators. Responsibilities: This position will have up to 4-6 shifts per month, March through December. Events Facilitators are responsible for executing an event using materials provided by the assigned Events Manager or Coordinator. This person brings the vision of the host to life by coordinating all event details on event day. This includes, but is not limited to, being the point person for the host or onsite lead, managing the timeline, overseeing the event space(s), ensuring the venue has been set up correctly, being a liaison between the Zoo and outside vendors, working closely with other members of the Events, Culinary, and Catering teams, troubleshooting all issues that may arise during the event, and communicating with a variety of other departments (attractions, audio visual, custodial services, education, facilities management, guest experience, safety and security, and volunteers). The Saint Louis Zoo Events Team hosts over 200 hundred private events each year, as well as 49 public/ticketed events.
