THE ROLE: Event Emergency Medics (Paramedic (First Aid), AEMT, BEMT, EMR) For Live Nation concerts and events held onsite at Lakewood Amphitheatre, the EMS employees will perform duties associated with providing medical and first aid services and emergency medical care to the sick and injured in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and EMS Unlimited policies. The Paramedic will be hired to cover First Aid. WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO: Respond to emergency and non-emergency requests calmly, efficiently, and promptly. Administer basic life support to patients at the scene, in a pre-hospital/pre-transport setting in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations and standards. Assess the nature and extent of injury or illness to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed. Conduct pre-event medical equipment inventory. Cleaning, organizing, and restocking supplies in a ready condition after each event. Respond to requests for emergency and non-emergency medical care at events and other duties related to assisting event staff with general tasks that support the event. Handle radio communications professionally and efficiently with careful regard to the divulgence of information respecting confidentiality requests always. Work Cooperatively with assisting agencies. This may include, but is not limited to- Event Staff, Volunteers, security teams, EMS Transport agencies, event participants, and spectators. Be nice, professional, courteous and an all-around happy and pleasant person. The employee must perform all job responsibilities in a manner that protects patient privacy. The ability to remain focused in chaotic or crowded situations is vital to making sound, split-second decisions. Event medics often work long hours, requiring stamina, strength, ability to lift patients when needed, and the ability to stand, walk, or navigate in large, crowded venues. Be aware of the surroundings, identifying potential hazards, and knowing how to navigate safely in a high-energy environment. Rapid assessment and critical thinking skills are essential when treating patients with limited information, often requiring quick decisions for intervention. YOU WILL ALSO: Contribute as a team player within EMS and the venue. EMS providers must provide necessary assistance to ensure work area sanitation, readiness, and adherence to quality assurance standards. Be flexible - work shift schedule may vary, and the start and shift times may vary due to the nature of the business. Assure that all certifications, licenses, and registrations are up to date.

Requirements

  • The employee must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, current Certification (Paramedic, AEMT, BEMT, EMR) and current CPR.
  • Able to handle long show days – up to 15 hours
  • Must be able to maintain composure and organization in an often hectic and loud environment
  • Ability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays, including late evenings.

Nice To Haves

  • FEMA ICS training 100 and 700 is strongly encouraged but not required.
  • FEMA active shooter course is encouraged but not required.
