About The Position

As Avita's Events Director on the Marketing Team, you will collaborate with and support company departments and leadership on event and activation strategies and executions to engage potential and current patients, and potential and current clients. You will be lead on company-wide internal and external events, conferences, meetings, and activations for Avita Care Solutions and Avita Pharmacy, and will support and collaborate as needed for additional organizational pillars including AvitaCare Atlanta and Q Care Plus. You’ll ensure that all event-related planning, materials, and logistics are of the highest professional quality and engage diverse audiences to successfully communicate our brands and value propositions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • A minimum of 8 years of combined marketing and comprehensive event planning experience
  • A minimum of 5 years coordinating start-to-finish national conference exhibits/activations for travel teams of 10 plus
  • A strategic, resourceful, and innovative thinker with strong leadership and decision-making abilities, strong attention to detail, and above average time-management ability
  • Experience with project management tool(s) like Asana, CRM platform(s) like Salesforce, vendor selection and management tool(s) like Cvent, and document organization platform(s) like SharePoint
  • Highly experienced with event and activation sponsorship negotiations
  • Ability to work effectively, independently, and in a cross-functional team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel at times up to 50%
  • This role may require driving for work; a valid driver’s license and active auto insurance are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the 340B industry, pharmacy/telehealth services, and/or health care in general preferred
  • Experience working for an organization that serves underserved populations, the LGBTQ+ community, and/or specializes in HIV and STI treatment and care is preferred
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with all levels of team members, vendors, and partners

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute, or consult on all Avita corporate, departmental, and industry meetings, community events, and conferences nationwide including Avita Pride events, activations, and sponsorships
  • Manage and update annual event calendar, budgets, staffing, details, inventory support, and reporting; track all aspects of event coordination to set budgets and KPIs; report pre- and post-activations
  • Collaborate closely with various internal and external stakeholders including multiple departments and non-profit and volunteer organizations
  • Support multiple initiatives simultaneously within tight time frames; willingness to prioritize and flex when there are shifts in direction within the team or organization is required
  • Collaborate closely with content creators, project managers, and other team members to develop event/activation materials and surrounding campaign assets including pre-, during, and post-event promotions and support campaigns
  • Develop, share, and enforce event coordination best practices including resources, vendors, timelines, budgets, reporting, and execution strategies
  • Coordinate and lead event planning and debrief meetings with appropriate team members, travel teams, leadership, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Source, order, and coordinate all materials for events; work closely with fulfillment vendor for inventory control/integrity, shipping and returns, and materials orders
  • Lead or coordinate staff or vendor set up and tear down at each event and all physical event logistics
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
  • Travel up to 50% as needed
