About The Position

The Event Coordinator assists in the development and operation of travel programs for existing clients by providing a level of support to the internal team members that exceeds expectations. This position will assist in the development and maintenance of key supplier and client relationships. The Event Coordinator will assist the Event Managers (EMs) and Senior EMs in their efforts to operate successful and profitable travel programs for ITA Group clients.

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferably in Event Management, Marketing or Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum two years work experience in a related field, customer service or retail industry.
  • Ability to handle numerous projects and prioritize workload.
  • Effective organizational skills with an ability to manage details.
  • Ability to think and act in a proactive manner.
  • Competent to project how a change or delay in one area will impact the overall project.
  • Willingness to try new ideas and challenge status quo.
  • Experience in effective communication and relationship building skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Project Management Software, Visio and CRM system knowledge a plus.
  • Effective problem solving skills.
  • Ability to display a sense of urgency, ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to listen, understand and respond to external and internal customers' needs in a timely manner.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience in a service-related industry preferred.
