About The Position

The Event Coordinator is responsible for coordinating events at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center. This role involves collaborating with City staff and third-party vendors to ensure successful planning, preparation, and execution of events. The coordinator will also assist in determining event costs and configurations, while maintaining strong relationships with clients and vendors.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree plus one (1) year of relevant work experience; OR High School diploma or equivalent plus five (5) years of relevant work experience.
  • Education related to Hospitality, Business, or a closely related field is preferred.
  • Experience working in arena events or large scale productions is preferred.
  • Valid Class C Drivers License.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate event planning and execution by researching, problem solving, and communicating through email and meetings.
  • Assist in monitoring events during preparation and execution, providing Guest Services support with crowd control.
  • Create and maintain working relationships with clients, tenants, exhibitors, patrons, and City of Allen staff.
  • Create and maintain event records by assisting with the development of event pricing and tracking event costs.
  • Obtain and distribute production advance documents by contacting promoters and production managers for event information.
  • Create and build event layouts by communicating with the Production Coordinator and Booking Manager.
