The Event Coordinator is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and managing the logistics of meetings and events at the LBJ Student Center and other locations. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure successful event execution and enhancing the overall guest experience.

  • Utilize Mazevo event scheduling software to coordinate reservations and services for events and meetings.
  • Serve as the primary contact for complex, large, or multi-venue events.
  • Coordinate with student organizations, university departments, and external clients to plan event logistics.
  • Consult and coordinate event policies and logistics with designated campus partners, including catering and transportation services.
  • Communicate event details to Event Services and Building Operations teams.
  • Educate clients on reservation requests and event coordination processes.
  • Provide excellent customer service before, during, and after events.
  • Compile reports and event statistics for annual assessments.
  • Serve as a vital member of the Event Services team and support various programs and initiatives.
  • Experience in planning, organizing, and coordinating events.
  • At least 2 years of customer service experience.
  • Ability to build relationships and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with Mazevo or room scheduling software.
