About The Position

United Flea Markets is seeking a highly organized and creative Event Coordinator to join our corporate marketing team. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing events across a diverse portfolio of properties, playing a critical role in driving traffic, enhancing customer experience, and supporting overall business objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for a marketing and events professional who excels at balancing strategy, creativity, and execution within a fast-paced, multi location environment. Position Overview The Event Coordinator will lead the development and execution of events across 15 United Flea Markets properties. This individual will collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners, including vendors and event agencies, to ensure seamless planning and execution of high-quality events that align with brand and revenue goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Event Management, Communications, or related field (preferred, not required).
  • 2+ years of experience in event coordination, marketing, or a related field
  • Experience working with event agencies and managing logistics for turnkey events
  • Proficiency in Canva with a working knowledge of graphic design principles (layout, typography, branding)
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a corporate environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with event or project management tools is a plus
  • Flexibility to travel and support events outside of standard business hours as needed

Responsibilities

  • Event Calendar Management: Develop, maintain, and coordinate a comprehensive event calendar across all properties.
  • Event Development: Research, recommend, and introduce new event concepts aligned with market goals and customer interests.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for event agencies, overseeing turnkey event logistics and execution.
  • Vendor & Promoter Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party event promoters, entertainers, and vendors.
  • Budget Oversight: Create and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective execution and positive ROI.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with marketing, onsite teams, and leadership to align event logistics, promotions, and communications.
  • Marketing Support: Assist the marketing team with event graphics, promotional campaigns, and communications.
  • Event Execution: Oversee scheduling, vendor coordination, permitting, and day-of logistics.
  • Travel: Provide onsite support for select events (light weekend travel required).
  • Reporting & Evaluation: Track performance, attendance, and financials; prepare post-event recaps and recommendations.
