Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Event Concierge for the beautiful Barton Creek Resort & Spa! Ranked among the best resorts in Texas: Top 5 Resorts in the Southwest Conde Nast Traveler and Top 5 Resorts in Texas Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards 2025 Work directly with the client / group contact as an extension to the Banquet Operations and the Conference Service team(s).

Requirements

  • Previous Experience in a similar position preferred.
  • Delphi or Equivalent Training.
  • Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a resource/advocate for all meeting planners and in house guests, and will be equipped with current means of hotel communication and most updated information i.e. daily event sheet, resumes, reader board information, hotel telephone lists, etc.
  • Direct guests to their designated meeting rooms, providing directional assistance and requested information to guests in person.
  • Being alert and attentive at all times to guests’ needs, understanding the image projected represents the total hotel.
  • Present a friendly attitude, excellent listening abilities, and pleasant body posture at all times and is knowledgeable and helpful in assisting guests.
  • Responsible for obtaining, understanding and utilizing the following information, on a daily basis (reader board information, daily event sheet, group resumes, BEO’s and Diagrams, arrival/departure manifests, special arrangements: i.e.: VIP arrivals, limo services, guest speakers, etc.)
  • Understand confidential group information (BEO’S, pricing, room rate, and guest room numbers).
  • Respond to guest and meeting planner needs in a timely fashion.
  • Follow-up with all guests after attending to their problem and ensure the resolution meets their expectations.
  • Communicate all necessary information to the hotel departments in a timely and accurate manner via Nextel, email and/or telephone.
  • Provide a daily report to the Hotel (Recap), of any guest service issues.
  • Provide information on guest services as well as meeting rooms benefits and features (ie wireless internet, complimentary business center).
  • Should be aware of the hotel location in relation to all attractions. Have pre-printed directions to the most common asked about locations.
  • Encourage and promote reservations and visits to hotel outlets by being aware of and recommending "favorite or popular” menu items or offerings, suggestive selling, create demand (ie filling up fast with this big group in-house I would suggest a reservation etc.)
  • To be aware of hotel fire safety procedures and fire routes.
  • Assist banquets and set-up team as needed.
  • Coordinate deliveries from the mail room in an expeditious and timely manner.
  • Check all meeting rooms and ensure that all signage is correct and in appropriate locations and that all unused signage and equipment is out of guest view and moved to appropriate storage locations.
  • Ensure equipment is in good condition and test to insure it is functional (i.e., phones, AV equipment, IT equipment)
  • Walk property daily at opening, closing and during events with a keen eye for detail. Immediately notify Banquet Operations, Housekeeping and Engineering of any related issues of cleanliness and safety.
