About The Position

Chowgirls is a women-owned, award-winning Minneapolis catering company that crafts quality food with respect for people and the planet by sourcing ethically, collaborating on food rescue, and prioritizing waste diversion. Beyond catering, we prepare meals through Kitchen Coalition to feed our community in need. Our bartenders are responsible for packing, loading, and setting up mobile bar service for events, checking for proper legal identification before serving alcoholic beverages, preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests in accordance with Chowgirls Catering’s policies and standards, and breaking down, loading out & cleaning per Chowgirls training, standards, and procedures. Bartenders are responsible for compliance of all federal, state, and city liquor laws and internal policies.This position reports to the Hospitality & Training Manager. Serving, Catering, and/or Bartending experience preferred Catering Service Staff Schedule Expectations: This job requires scheduling flexibility that aligns with the seasonal event schedule. Maintaining high availability through the months of May through December is required. Applicants must be willing to work long hours, irregular shifts, and on weekends. Requirements

Email access and literacy are necessary
Thrives in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lift 40 lbs. or more and able to stand for long period of time
Access to reliable transportation is required, and a valid driver’s license is preferred, but not required
Must be at least 21 years of age
Experience bartending or bar-backing required
Must be 21 years of age
Knowledge of a variety of popular cocktails and is familiar with wine and beer basics
Knows and upholds the most current liquor liability laws
Receives and executes instructed duties from leadership efficiently and professionally
Experience handling high-volume beverage sales and preparation
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
A commitment to delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for patrons
A genuine passion for hospitality and a desire to contribute to the overall success of the beverage program
Ability to work up to 12 hours on your feet and lift 40 lbs

Nice To Haves

Serving, Catering, and/or Bartending experience preferred
1 year of bartending experience preferred
Event bartending experience preferred

Responsibilities

Prepares alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for patrons
Properly measures wine, spirit, and batch pours and follows cocktail recipes
Works well in a team, and individually, at events and concessions
Provides prompt and courteous service to all guests while maintaining a respectful and positive disposition
Maintains professional standards of appearance, attendance, and punctuality
Loads and unloads event equipment/food at Chowgirls Headquarters before and after event execution
Able to follow instructions given by managers
Displays confidence in carrying trays, plates, glassware, and more
Prioritizes tasks, remains focused, and works independently and collaboratively
