About The Position

Fresh Ideas is hiring immediately for full time EVENING/WEEKEND COOK positions at William Woods University. The schedule includes PM/Weekend shifts from 1:00 pm to 8:30 pm and weekends from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. The role involves preparing food in accordance with applicable standards and ensuring quality food service is provided at all times. Fresh Ideas encourages creativity and offers a fun working environment where team members can create unique dining experiences.

Requirements

• Previous cooking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning and ensuring food is at the correct temperature.
• Uses established ticket collection procedures during service.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting.
• Assists in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies.
• Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor.
• Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
• Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures.
