The Store Shift Supervisor is a critical asset to a store’s daily operation at Milam’s Markets. A Store Shift Supervisor is responsible for the successful operation of the entire store in accordance with Milam’s Markets policies and procedures during his/her shift. The Store Shift Supervisor is a key-holder for the store and is either the first person to enter the store or the last person to leave during the day. Responsible for running the store during his/her shift, the Store Shift Supervisor is the person that all staff are accountable to and whom the Store Shift Supervisor must lead and manage accordingly. Compensation: As the schedule requires 50 hours per week, the scheduled 10 hours of Overtime will result in 10 hours of Overtime Premium Pay (one-and-a-half times the regular rate). Accountable to store financial goals, Store Shift Supervisors are also eligible for Performance-Based Incentive Compensation (Store Bonus Program). Bonus Program: Shift Supervisors are eligible to participate in a performance-based incentive programs, which include monthly sales bonus opportunity, as well as annual bonus opportunity for other financial metrics. The program varies by store location but the average annual bonus opportunity for Shift Supervisors is $7,000. Paid Time-Off: After successfully completing a 90-day probationary period, Shift Supervisors will accrue two weeks' vacation, three paid holidays, and three paid sick days (if needed), annually. Schedule: Store Shift Supervisors must maintain open schedule flexibility with minimal restrictions throughout the week. Schedules will mostly include closing shifts, but may include opening shifts and middle shifts. Store Shift Supervisors are scheduled for 50 hours per week. Responsibilities: The Store Shift Supervisor is accountable towards executing the plans for the store set by the Store Director and Assistant Managers, yet must also ensure the BEST Quality, Variety, and Service (QVS) in the store at all times. The Store Shift Supervisor is directly responsible for the Shopping Experience of our customers, and must keep this at the top of mind at all times. The Store Shift Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring a positive work environment for the staff, and ensuring the staff are able to complete their duties/responsibilities effectively. Milam’s Markets is nothing without its teams of exceptional staff, and it is our responsibility as leaders and members of management to empower our staff to be the very best they can be. This responsibility also entails holding our staff accountable to the Company’s expectations and conducting appropriate conversations when our staff are not contributing towards the store’s QVS as expected. Ultimately, the Store Shift Supervisor is working to maximizing sales, optimizing gross profits, and adhering to labor targets and is accountable, with the rest of the management team, to these metrics.
