About The Position

Marriott Syracuse Downtown seeks Evening Security Officer In-Charge (Full-Time) to serve as the security officer-in-charge in the absence of the Security Manager. The security officer-in-charge will play an essential role in the safe and successful operation of the hotel in the evening hours. Requirements

• Valid & current NYS Security Guard License required
• Valid Driver's License required
• At least 2 years' experience in security/loss prevention required

Nice To Haves

• Supervisory experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Patrol the interior, perimeter, and parking garage of the hotel to observe and identify potential safety risks, security issues, and undesirable conditions.
• Respond to emergency situations including, but not limited to, safety hazards, fire and medical emergencies, and threats to life and/or property.
• Be observant for suspicious persons entering or loitering in and around the property. Promote safe work practices.
• Initiate preliminary investigations into incidents, as needed.
• Write reports and ensure accuracy of necessary documentation, as needed.
• Maintain daily activity logs and pass along relevant information to outgoing and incoming security personnel.
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve guest issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
• Monitors CCTV system.
