About The Position

OSU Harding Hospital/East Hospital-Talbot Hall provides the most comprehensive behavioral healthcare services for adults, older adults, and adolescents in central Ohio. We offer more treatment options and a more experienced and diversified staff than any other psychiatric or behavioral healthcare provider in the area. All of our outpatient, IOP, and Partial Hospitalization services include a comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis from a qualified clinician and implementation of an individualized treatment plan. We offer specialized evidence-based services for patients experiencing Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Psychosis, Trauma- and Stress-Related Disorders, and Sexual Dysfunction. We offer specialty programs in Women's Behavioral Health, Addictions, Trauma, and Neurocognitive Disorders. Talbot Hall provides the most comprehensive addiction services for adults in central Ohio, offering specialized evidence-based services for patients experiencing a Substance Use Disorder. We offer traumatic brain injury specific treatment, the latest Medicated Assisted Treatment for opiate and alcohol use disorders. We offer Detox, Intensive Outpatient, Partial Hospitalization and many Outpatient and continuing care groups. The Psychotherapist serves as a critical part of our clinical team; they are an independent provider who functions within the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team to provide counseling and psychotherapy, primarily in our Evening Intensive Outpatient Program. Patients and their family will experience the benefits of patient-focused care through the integrated skills of all treatment team members. POSITION SUMMARY Clinical and education position, including, but not limited to: Provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluation for patients with mental health complaints. Provide counseling/psychotherapy to group and individuals with mental & behavioral disorders to facilitate return to previous or improved functioning. Services provided include individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, and/or couple/family therapy. Formulate individualized treatment plans to assist patients to determine and meet treatment goals. Other duties include advocating within local community if needed; work as part of clinical team; maintain third-party payer relationships; and complete all necessary paperwork (e.g., disability, FMLA).

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling or education accepted by the State of Ohio for licensure.
  • Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working with patients with mental illness and/or substance use disorders is also required.

Nice To Haves

  • LPCC or LISW preferred.
  • Experience and/or training in at least one evidence-based psychotherapy modality (e.g., cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy) is preferred.
