About The Position
Join our network of independent alteration professionals specializing in evening and cocktail wear. This role involves altering various formal dresses, including evening gowns, cocktail dresses, and gala/black-tie dresses, performing tasks such as hemming, bodice/waist adjustments, strap alterations, cup insertions, and zipper repairs. The professional will work with structured formal dresses that may include multiple layers, lace, beading, sequins, and linings. Key responsibilities also include conducting fittings, taking precise measurements, and clearly communicating timelines to clients. Delivering high-quality finishing and maintaining an organized workspace suitable for fittings are essential. The network also receives requests for wedding dresses, prom dresses, bridesmaid dresses, suits, and other formalwear.
Requirements
- Experience with women's formalwear and/or evening wear alterations
- Strong garment construction knowledge + precision measuring
- Machine + hand sewing proficiency
- Professional communication and customer service
