About The Position

Heartfelt Impressions Learning Centers is dedicated to creating and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our staff and students. We are actively seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join the Clarkston team as a part-time custodian. Our custodians are responsible for keeping the centers clean and in an orderly fashion. You will be required to perform light and heavy-duty cleaning daily to maintain the standard of cleanliness that parents expect for their children. POSITION DETAIL: Regular, part-time (20-25 hours/week) Shift: Evenings, Monday-Thursday 6p-10p, plus one 4-hour shift on the weekend Friday, Saturday or Sunday Pay starting at $15/hour

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be reliable and punctual
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Willing to complete a background check (conducted by Heartfelt Impressions)
• Must have the ability to work with and around children.
• Must be able to move around easily and bend or squat as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

• Having previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Gather and empty trash daily.
• Clean, scrub, and sanitize garbage cans that are soiled.
• Ensure all containers of poisonous or toxic chemicals are clearly labelled and stored away from child areas.
• Clean and stock restrooms daily.
• Nightly; sanitize tables, chairs, counters, bookshelves, floors, sinks, and toilets.
• Must follow OSHA procedures and licensing standards for handling of chemicals and toxic materials.
• check and dust for cobwebs daily.
