About The Position

The Evening Addiction Counselor at Keystone Treatment Center is responsible for providing comprehensive care to individuals suffering from chemical dependency and co-occurring mental health conditions. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and facilitating counseling sessions in an outpatient setting. The counselor will work evening shifts, ensuring that patients receive the necessary support and guidance during their recovery process.

Requirements

• High school graduate with college preferred.
• One year experience in the substance abuse field.
• South Dakota Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor CCDC Level I (minimum).

Responsibilities

• Assist in all facets of patient care including admission process, orientation, assessment, treatment planning, and discharge.
• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and chemical use assessments on each assigned patient.
• Determine the appropriate level of care for each patient (inpatient vs. outpatient).
• Develop measurable treatment plans based on assessments.
• Conduct group or individual counseling sessions with patients and significant others as needed.
