About The Position

Kentucky Truck Plant EVs, Digital & Design (EVDD) Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) Supervisor of approximately 5 engineers driving internal (assembly Plant) & external (warranty) Quality improvements for EVDD Functions (F1 = In Vehicle Infotainment & Connectivity, FC = Body Controls & Powertrain Controls, FD = ADAS, FE = 12V Battery & Alternators/Starters, FH = LV Wiring, HV Wring, Shifters, Switches) in partnership with exiting EVDD PVT Supervisor. This role will manage electrical wiring shifters and switches. What you'll do... The PVT Supervisor leads a team of PVT Engineers that analyze and fix quality issues - provide leadership to the team tasks including but not limited to: Own cascaded Functional Warranty quality objectives for the base organization (R/1000 and CPU) - respond to plant/supplier issues before they leave assembly plants, evaluate chronic and new warranty issues to push for cut off and resolution ASAP Support Plant FTT improvements. Lead is Production/IE and VOME Chair and support Variability Reduction Team (VRT) meetings at the Plant. Lead VRT review and sign-off on supplier requests for component changes (SREA), run trials as required. Support in weekly Vehicle Function Group (VFG) subsystem Quality Meetings to maintain clear line of communication to the Functional Managers on all vehicle quality issues and request help as needed. Support in weekly Functional Quality Reviews (FQR) with the Functional Chief Engineer to maintain clear line of communication to the Functional Chief Engineer on all high impact vehicle quality issues and request help as needed. Support daily plant meetings to update Plant Leadership on all Functional quality initiatives Support Vehicle Quality Reviews (VQR) and Program Quality Reviews (PQR) when Functional topics are on the agenda. Drive Problem Resolution for SIMPSN Warranty communication and coordination with VFG/Plant/Others, author Quality projects, manage implementation, calculate impact, manage warranty forecast/glidepaths Lead IRIS PO Warranty claim binning and analysis Stop Ship Support and prevention - identify issues, coordinate subject matter experts, advise severity and next steps/containment, interface w/Core Functional Engineering Major Launch Support if requested/agreed upon; Possibly Lead aspects of Minor Launch if requested/agreed upon You'll have... Bachelor of Science in Engineering 5+ years' experience in automotive Electrified, Connectivity, or Systems/Components field Strong problem solving and decision-making skills Comfortable working in a plant environment where problems are not always well-defined Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills Well-organized, independent, and ready to work with minimal direction Self-starter, able to prioritize, and flexible enough to change priorities quickly Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications Willingness to strengthen cross-functional system engineering & connected vehicle data knowledge On-Site Assembly Plant-plant launch lead/participation Even better, you may have... Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • 5+ years' experience in automotive Electrified, Connectivity, or Systems/Components field
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Comfortable working in a plant environment where problems are not always well-defined
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Well-organized, independent, and ready to work with minimal direction
  • Self-starter, able to prioritize, and flexible enough to change priorities quickly
