Perform a variety of activities to weld, wrap, foam, and assemble evaporator hoppers, barrels, and parts. Work from blueprints, process sheets, and schedules. Organize required materials to complete required assemblies on a timely basis within engineering specifications. Establish and maintain a lean pull system for the finished evaporator from barrel welding through final foaming. According to proper procedures, set and operate a wide variety of mechanical equipment including, but not limited to welding, grinding, wrapping, extruding, spot welding, facing, polishing, and foaming equipment. Schedule others to meet the lean pull demand. Observe and report malfunctions, improper fits, or operating difficulties, and take corrective action as instructed. Perform own material handling and follow good housekeeping and safety practices. Perform other activities as required. Must pass welding and brazing qualification tests. A Welding Test (MIG and TIG) Will Be Required and Conducted During The In-Person Interview. Must Pass to be considered for the position.
