Requirements

  • A minimum of one (1) year's recent experience in a Psychiatric/Chemical Dependency setting conducting evaluations is preferred.
  • Background and experience in the application of Crisis Theory Methodology is preferred.
  • Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's degree in an Allied Health field such as Psychology or Social Work is preferred.
  • Must be computer literate and have proven ability to follow through on job responsibilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work and communicate with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to organize work in an environment with multiple demands and frequent interruptions.

Responsibilities

  • Enhancing referrals and gathering and disseminating information collected during the incoming and outgoing Referral process.
  • Acting as a resource person to the general public and community agencies for counseling and allied services.
  • Facilitating courteous and professional working relations among St. Joseph's Behavioral Health Center and other hospitals and agencies who serve as referral sources.
  • Providing service to one or more age populations including child, adolescent/teen, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
  • Demonstrating behavior consistent with the Core Values of the organization.
  • Supporting the organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
