About The Position

Performs psychosocial evaluations for all persons requesting psychiatric or substance abuse treatment. Responsible for coordination of services for inpatient partial hospital or outpatient treatment. Assures that the patient is provided the most appropriate type and level of service. Responsible for conducting all Utilization Management activity to assure proper payment for admission. Assures compliance with Florida Mental Health and Substance Abuse laws. Participation in the monthly Intake on-call pool is a mandatory.

Requirements

• Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling or related field.
• Requires Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern or Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern with State of Florida.
• Completes all State of Florida requirements for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) including two years of post-masters supervised experience within three years of hire or promotion.
