About The Position

The Brook – KMI is a 98-bed hospital offering a full continuum of inpatient, extended care, residential, partial hospitalization and outpatient services for adolescents, adults and seniors. Our specialized treatment services are provided by a multidisciplinary team of highly trained psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, addiction counselors, nurses, pastoral counselors and activity therapists. The Brook Hospitals prides itself upon the fact that our patients are referred directly to us by local professionals and organizations: physicians, psychologists, social workers, employee assistance professionals, community mental health centers, hospitals, schools, courts, social service agencies and managed care organizations. Requirements

• A Master's Degree from an accredited school in the Behavioral Sciences is required.
• Those with an MSW or MSSW must have their CSW in order to apply for this position.
• Previous experience with direct patient care in a behavioral health setting is strongly preferred.
• Must maintain current CPR certification.
• Ability to gain training through web-based programs and participate in employee surveys.
• Excellent verbal communication skills in communicating with patients, coworkers and visitors.
• Ability to actively participate in a treatment team environment.
• Consistently demonstrates all Service Excellence Standards.

Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming intake calls and provide appropriate resolution.
• Conduct initial evaluations to determine an appropriate treatment level of care.
• Responsible for completing admission paperwork, including admission data entry.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with all hospital units, business office, medical staff, medical records, utilization review, marketing, nursing, and data processing.
