The EV Charging Station Technician is responsible for the on-site repair and maintenance of EV charging stations within a specific geographic region of Los Angeles, CA. In essence a Dedicated EV Technician for a strategic account . Key responsibilities include: Ensuring site safety Performing electrical system maintenance and repairs Preparing site field reports Fulfilling other duties as required to maintain and operate the site according to contractual requirements Pay: $45.00/ Per Hour - $55.00/ Per Hour This position is dedicated to one customer and covers multiple sites in a metropolitan area. The technician must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to various field conditions. Candidates must have a strong background in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting. Mitigating charger downtime and failures with white glove service escalation, combined with a deep EV electrical background, will uphold relationships with partners, uptime, and charger utilization with an enterprising spirit and high sense of urgency. Responsibilities: Deliver technical subject matter expertise and thoughtful de-escalation with accurate diagnostics in accordance with eMobility standards/MSAs/SLAs-fixing the customer first, then fixing the issue right the first time. Follow detailed repair manuals, service bulletins, and technical information, and meet with clients upon service completion. Conduct proper, thorough, and timely documentation of related work orders, including all parts and warranty records, and deliver a high customer service closed-loop process with clients during each service visit. Effectively communicate with customers' Network Services provider to ensure the scope of work has been completed and equipment is back to normal operating conditions, with both predictive analysis and preventive maintenance. Perform OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades/revisions to a broad range of equipment, ranging from Level 2 EV chargers to DC Fast Chargers, including planned maintenance. Perform equipment testing, including insulation testing (megger testing), thermal imagery, torque tests, and performance evaluations. Troubleshoot system performance issues and isolate ground faults. Collaborate with the eMobility Service team to ensure adherence to maintenance schedules and optimize routes. Conduct site safety assessments, identify safety hazards, and complete JHA, LOTO, and other safety-related documentation as per OSHA and site-specific requirements. Generate professional service-specific reports using a work order system for customer presentation. Be available for planned and unplanned overtime and emergency response work
