About The Position

As an APX Supply Chain Engineering Intern, you will support Westinghouse APX Supply Chain team in verifying quality and technical requirements for projects, products, and service deliveries from Westinghouse. You will report to the Sr Manager, APX Supply Chain and be located at our Cranberry facility. This is a paid onsite position, July 6, 2026 through August 28, 2026. You will work a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, electrical, civil, power, or nuclear engineering
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Completed Sophomore year of college
• European Union Citizen
• Obtain a J-1 Visa
• Fluent in English

• Personal Essay (Approx. 1,500 words, ±10%) On the impacts and advantages of Design for Manufacturing/Designing for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM or DFMA) for new nuclear reactors (attach to CV or Cover Letter)

Responsibilities

• Support supplier evaluations for AP1000 and AP300 delivery streams in North America and EMEA.
• Lead RFQ creation, review design proposals and compliance matrices, and assist with supplier selection for PO placement.
• Manage project support team, run supplier kick-offs, oversee critical manufacturing, and ensure witness/hold point compliance.
• Monitor PO scope completion, process changes, release quality, and archive QA documentation.
• Provide schedule and status updates, coordinate logistics, and ensure equipment and documentation turnover
