The ETL Datastage Developer position is a contract role based in New York City, NY, requiring a self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced work environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in business intelligence and data warehousing tools and technologies, with a strong emphasis on data integration using IBM Information Server 11.x. This role involves designing and developing common data integration templates, performing deep technical analysis, and acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ETL processes. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed ETL designs, validating business logic, and developing ETL jobs while ensuring thorough testing and documentation throughout the process. In this role, the developer will also engage in code reviews, manage the deployment of Data Stage code, and resolve technical issues that arise during various project phases, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and warranty phases. The position requires the ability to prepare root cause corrective action documents for ETL issues and provide batch support for Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and AWS jobs on a rotational basis. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong analytical abilities and excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
