About The Position

The ETL DataStage Developer will be responsible for designing and constructing scalable data management systems that meet company requirements. This role involves integrating new data management technologies, developing processes for data mining and modeling, and collaborating with various teams to ensure data reliability and quality. The position requires a strong understanding of data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, particularly using DataStage and Snowflake.

Requirements

• Technical degree or related work experience.
• Experience with non-relational and relational databases (SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, MongoDB).
• Experience programming and/or architecting data extraction using DataStage or other ETL tools.
• Expert in writing complex SQL queries.
• Good understanding of data modeling concepts and experience.
• Experience working with JSON file formats.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to lead and follow up on one's work.
• Ability to document work and share knowledge with the team.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge and hands-on experience with Snowflake and DBT.
• Some exposure to modern data engineering toolset.

Responsibilities

• Design, construct, install, test, and maintain data management systems.
• Ensure that all systems meet business and industry requirements.
• Integrate new data management and software engineering technologies into existing data structures.
• Develop processes for data mining, data modeling, and data production.
• Create custom software components and analytics applications.
• Research new uses for existing data.
• Collaborate with team members on project goals.
• Recommend improvements for data reliability and quality.
• Understand the Disputes business process and data behind the Disputes case management vendor application.
• Build data products for case management data in the Snowflake environment.
• Extract data and push to Snowflake, designing data products that meet compliance rules.
