The ETL Administrator is responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining ETL between the source systems and the target tables in the Enterprise Data Warehouse. Other responsibilities include working with analysts and business users to gather requirements and translate functional specifications into technical designs for implementation and deployment. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.

  • Developing source to target ETL.
  • Developing ETL code.
  • Developing Linux scripts and Oracle packages.
  • Providing technical leadership and direction to the overall architecture, design and implementation of the data warehouse and other business intelligence applications.
  • Working closely with the project team to formulate and implement a flexible system design that meets functional requirements.
  • Working with Business Analysts on Business and Functional requirements documents.
  • Record and Maintain ETL software and operational procedures.
  • Implement procedures to maintain, monitor, backup and recovery operations for ETL environment.
  • Report regularly on health and performance of ETL environment and jobs.
  • Provide detailed analysis of problems and recommend solutions.
  • Perform administration of Oracle database and ETL tool.
  • Conduct ETL optimization, troubleshooting, and debugging.
  • Maintain ownership of release activities interacting with ETL projects.
  • Establishes and manages change control procedures.
  • Prioritizes and implements requested changes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Keeps the Director informed of issues requiring attention and problems likely to result in missed deadlines or user impact.
  • Provides assistance and guidance to the Director as needed and requested.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Bachelor's degree requirement can be waived if the candidate has four or more years' experience supporting an applicable application.
  • Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence experience.
  • Development/Testing background in the ETL development environment.
  • SQL/PL/SQL skills & Performance tuning.
  • Scripting (Korn, C, Perl).
  • Linux Background.
  • Oracle 10g database experience.
  • Five years overall experience in an information technology support role.
  • Two years' work experience in ETL implementations, upgrades and maintenance activities.
  • Two years' experience with ETL database administration functions.
