About The Position
The Estimator position at Curtis Packaging Corporation involves a comprehensive understanding of the requirements outlined in Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and the coordination with various departments to ensure accurate and efficient production estimates. The role requires the estimator to review complex production routes, collaborate with the Die department, and request tooling and material costs from outside vendors. Additionally, the estimator will be responsible for researching layout standards within the ERP system and determining the appropriate production route for new projects. This position also entails attending morning meetings to discuss new business opportunities and providing input for product creation. The estimator will work closely with production teams to develop production routes for new projects and liaise with the shipping department to obtain shipping quotes when necessary. The role requires the creation of layouts and estimates using software tools such as Artios and AVP, ensuring that production orders align with sales orders.
