Responsibilities & Duties Analyzing plans Review and organize project drawings and specifications, perform quantity take offs and compile scopes of work. Assessing risk Identify potential financial and logistical or constructability issues and develop strategies to mitigate those risks. Researching costs Develop pricing packages and obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors. Research materials, equipment, and labor costs Preparing reports Provide regular reports on estimated versus actual costs, prepare cost reports for management, and update master project database Tracking costs Monitor project costs throughout the duration of the project, and track variations to plans and their impact on costs
