For additional information, please visit www.NRPGroup.com . The Estimator organizes estimating activities of specific projects as they relate to estimating and preconstruction activities. This candidate MUST HAVE MULTI-FAMILY EXPERIENCE. The Estimator prepares accurate and well-crafted bids/proposals that result in awarded contracts that are profitable and maintain the quality expected from the NRP Group. The Estimator is also a key person in developing and nurturing relationships with our vendors and clients. The Estimator works under very tight time frames and is responsible for handling multiple bids/proposals and responsibilities simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or Construction Management a plus) or equivalent work experience
  • 1-5 years of relevant experience estimating construction projects; multi-family experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with conceptual estimating, writing detailed scopes of work and reading blueprints.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel for tracking construction costing.
  • Driver’s License Required: Yes

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with On-Screen Takeoff and Sage estimating software programs a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule Create a job specific preconstruction schedule.
  • Set-up and attend pre-bid walk-throughs.
  • Quality Review and analyze drawings, specifications, proposals and other documents during the various stages of design.
  • Budget Develop invitation to bid.
  • Review and analyze subcontractor proposals.
  • Create overall project bid summary.
  • Review bid summary with director of preconstruction.
  • Management Create the project general conditions.
  • Solicit vendors and subcontractors for a project and ensure good bid coverage.
  • Create scopes of work for all subcontractors.
