About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Roofing Estimator to lead estimating and preconstruction efforts for commercial roofing projects, including new construction and re-roof applications. This role plays a critical part in bid preparation, scope clarification, cost control planning, and project startup coordination.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge of commercial roofing systems, proven estimating accuracy, and the ability to collaborate with sales, production, and field teams to ensure successful project execution.

Requirements

• Minimum three (3) years of commercial roofing estimating experience
• Strong knowledge of roofing practices, OSHA standards, and industry regulations
• Ability to interpret construction drawings with a high level of precision
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with field personnel and internal teams
• Valid and clean driver’s license
• Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Must comply with OSHA guidelines and company safety policies, including mandatory and random drug testing

Nice To Haves

• Experience with EDGE estimating software preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive labor and material estimates using drawings, specifications, bid packages, and take-offs
• Analyze project scope, schedules, submittals, and contract requirements alongside sales and project management teams
• Establish clear communication processes for change orders, billing procedures, and production coordination
• Participate in pre-construction and pre-job kickoff meetings with sales and operations personnel
• Coordinate with office staff to prepare equipment and safety requirement lists, including specialty tools and rental equipment
• Schedule deliveries, returns, trucks, and material logistics to support field production timelines
• Work closely with project managers to ensure uninterrupted material flow and daily production needs
• Utilize Excel, Word, Adobe, and estimating software to produce accurate documentation and professional proposals
• Support leadership with additional estimating and coordination tasks as required
