About The Position

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive estimator to support our growing construction companies. This role is responsible for the bid lifecycle - from identifying opportunities and evaluating project feasibility to preparing accurate estimates, submitting bids, and following up with key stakeholders. We've got a lot going on - drywall, acoustic ceilings, fireproofing, lightweight concrete, kitting, and plastering are all in our current repertoire and that list will continue to grow. Sound fun?

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of related experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, & Word) required. Candidates must be familiar and comfortable working with Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and organizational skills required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision required.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and track upcoming bidding opportunities in collaboration with Operations.
  • Enter and maintain all bid opportunities in the company bid management system.
  • Prepare and update bid documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Participate in weekly bid review meetings with leadership to evaluate opportunities and support go/no-go decisions.
  • Review outstanding bids and coordinate follow-up actions as needed.
  • Assist leadership in assessing project risk, scope, and alignment with company goals.
  • Review plans, specifications, and scope documents to determine project feasibility.
  • Prepare detailed and competitive project estimates in accordance with company standards.
  • Recommend profit margins based on established company guidelines and project characteristics.
  • Conduct internal bid reviews for projects exceeding defined size thresholds and adjust estimates as required.
  • Submit bids accurately and on time through designated platforms.
  • Update the bid management system with final estimates, scope details, and decisions.
  • Attend scope review meetings with General Contractors and internal Operations.
  • Follow up on submitted bids to support award decisions and relationship management.
