Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in estimating custom residential construction or high-end remodeling projects.
  • Strong understanding of residential building methods, materials, permitting, and construction sequencing.
  • Proven experience preparing accurate estimates, budgets, and proposals for high-end residential projects.
  • Professional references demonstrating reliability, accuracy, and professionalism.
  • Proficiency with estimating software such as CoConstruct, Buildertrend, or similar.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, plans, and specifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare comprehensive, detailed project estimates for custom homes and high-end remodels, including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Design teams to develop accurate construction budgets, bid packages, and client presentations.
  • Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and design documents to ensure all costs are accounted for.
  • Source, solicit, and evaluate bids from qualified subcontractors and vendors, maintaining competitive pricing and quality standards.
  • Track and maintain historical cost data and create cost databases for future projects.
  • Support value-engineering decisions to optimize budget efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date project files in cloud-based systems for easy access by internal teams.
  • Provide support for project financial reporting, including variance analysis, budget forecasting, and bid summaries.
  • Communicate complex cost information clearly to internal teams, clients, and design partners.
