A local Construction company is seeking an Estimator/Project Estimator who specializes in determining the projected time frame needed to complete various construction projects. This role involves assessing additional factors such as labor needs, materials, budgets, and potential setbacks that may arise during the project lifecycle. The Estimator/Project Estimator will be responsible for developing comprehensive cost estimates and construction schedules, ranging from rough-order-of-magnitude estimates to detailed working cost estimates. This position requires effective communication with personnel, contractual professionals, and vendors, utilizing computer software to analyze production risks and compile reports. The Estimator will also be tasked with making presentations to project leaders, outlining suggestions for upcoming projects based on their findings. The ideal candidate will possess excellent people and communication skills, with the ability to think creatively to solve problems. They will be proactive and flexible, thriving in a small company environment while taking on a leadership role. Responsibilities include preparing development and construction capital cost estimates, specifications, and schedules, as well as participating in project economic evaluations and offering value engineering ideas. The Estimator will assist in various areas to ensure the delivery of a quality product on schedule and within budget, managing documentation and conducting cost/profit analysis. This position demands a highly motivated self-starter who is organized and possesses excellent time management skills.
