About The Position
The Estimator position is responsible for providing estimates for customers regarding parts, tooling, and prototypes. The role involves reviewing customer information to ensure all necessary specifications are included for accurate quoting. The Estimator will work closely with the engineering department to create strip layouts and will be responsible for completing quoting documents accurately. This includes inputting material, labor, and other specifications required for metal stampings and injection mold parts. The Estimator will also select suppliers for materials and services, maintain historical cost data, and monitor estimating procedures to improve accuracy and turnaround times. The position requires collaboration with various departments to ensure the best estimates are created for projects.
