About The Position

We offer expert electrical and low voltage contracting services to Greater Boston's commercial, institutional, life-sciences, hospitality, and retail markets. We are seeking a seasoned Sr. Electrical Estimator to lead strategic estimating efforts, mentor team members, and drive project wins with precision and profitability. This role combines technical expertise, leadership, and innovation to deliver accurate budgets-even in the absence of complete design information. You'll collaborate across departments, leverage emerging technologies, and serve as a trusted resource during pre-construction.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in electrical estimating or commercial electrical construction.
  • Proven success managing estimates for complex, multi-system projects.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and ability to interpret technical documentation.
  • Strategic mindset with attention to detail and deadline-driven execution.
  • Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of customer, employees, unions, government agencies, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Conest Estimating Software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and mentor junior estimators to elevate team performance.
  • Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform and review detailed take-offs to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Analyze drawings and specifications to develop project-specific estimating strategies.
  • Deliver comprehensive budgets with limited design documentation.
  • Attend pre-bid walkthroughs to assess site conditions and build client rapport.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key customer decision-makers.
  • Participate in presentations and interviews with clients, owners, and design teams.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Estimator to integrate new technologies and tools.
  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance estimating delivery and outcomes.
