About The Position

FiberTel is looking for an experienced Estimator/Proposal Manager for our PNW market. In this role, you will estimate telecom construction projects for us and manage the proposal process from start to finish. A good Estimator will have a thorough understanding of the PNW market, telecom, and OSP construction as well as the estimating process for telecom projects.

Requirements

• 10 years experience in the PNW with Telecommunications construction.
• 5 years experience estimating telecommunications construction projects.
• Business development experience required.
• Relationships with local PUD and Telcom providers in the PNW.
• Ability to travel through PNW for business development and estimating.

Responsibilities

• Pre-qualification with specified clients.
• Analyze and interpret detailed drawings and specifications.
• Perform budget pricing from schematic drawings and narrative.
• Draft scope letters, proposals and vendor solicitations.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, collaborations and conferences with clients and design professionals.
• Work under deadline pressures in an efficient, composed and calm manner.
• Work alongside other estimators, project managers and project engineers on change orders and cost to complete estimates of ongoing projects.
• Determine appropriate construction methods for bidding purposes.
• Additional duties as assigned by management.
