About The Position

The Estimator/Project Manager is responsible for overseeing pre-construction activities, including organizing, scoping, and pricing potential projects. This role ensures timely and accurate estimates to meet the company's sales and profitability objectives, requiring strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Commercial Construction or a related field preferred.
  • Proficient at reading architectural drawings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Knowledge of ADA Codes as it applies to the scope of work.
  • Must be able to pass a chemical and drug test as a condition of employment.
  • Must be able to submit a background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with CAD software and Planswift or other architectural software.
  • Finance and Math skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, scope, and price all potential projects.
  • Ensure timely and accurate estimates to meet sales and profitability objectives.
  • Create, use, and manage all construction tools including logs and reports of contracts, purchase orders, work orders, change orders, shop drawings, RFI's, and construction drawings.
  • Establish procedures for information flow, approvals, meetings, reporting, and applications for payment among design professionals, consultants, owners, and internal offices.
  • Work with the Project Superintendent to establish procedures with subcontractors and suppliers for information flow and approvals.
  • Prepare and disseminate all required documentation records.
  • Examine all documents for constructability and seek out design deficiencies, impractical details, and code violations.
  • Submit 100% of bids and budgets by the bid deadline.
