About The Position

In this role you would be responsible for estimating and bid proposal generation for precast projects with a primary focus on meeting or exceeding customer deadline, specification, scheduling, and funding parameters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • 3+ years of recent construction and/or bidding experience
  • Experience with SAP, Titan or other CRM software a plus
  • Experience estimating projects from the date of the initial contact to final acceptance of a purchase order.
  • Experience preparing bid packages, completing bid documents, and generating customer quotes.
  • Experience with contract and specification review, and NPCA code for precast products.
  • Ideal candidate must be mathematically inclined, spreadsheet savvy, detail-oriented and skills in time management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and technical aptitude
  • Ability to prioritize deadlines for multiple jobs; keeping an open line of communication with all customers, management and other sales team associates.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Complete take-offs and quotes for all RFQ’s brought in by contractors and individual customers.
  • Review and analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare, cost and labor estimates for products, projects, or services.
  • Send quote to customer before due date.
  • Work with Supply Chain to establish a supplier network that provides high quality products at competitive prices.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with associated departments (i.e., Engineering, Production and Sales, etc.)
  • Generates subcontractor and/or vendor submittals in compliance with project specifications, including engineering shop drawings, and project schedule, etc.
  • Implement strategic market activities, locally and regionally, to generate maximum sales and gross profit to ensure Vanhooseco infrastructure products are being considered.
  • Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and assess the quality of our company relationship with customers and seek new opportunities with prospective customers.
  • Coordinate with production planner to ensure production schedule is met and deliveries accomplished within customer timeline.
  • Provide accurate monthly reporting, including tracking and analyzing sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics.
  • Other duties as assigned.
