Employee is responsible for soliciting work, performing complete and accurate proposals for customers. This position will require the coordination of subcontractors, project schedules, customer relationships and maintenance, and timely project closeout. Arranges schedules, collects data and regulates flow of work for Project Manager and other organizational units within the Development department. Experience with proposal / estimating database programs is advantageous (B2W, HCSS). Experience in 2D and 3D quantity take-off programs is also highly desired. The employee reports to the Chief Estimator.

Requirements

  • Construction Management or similar degree; or proven relevant industry experience.
  • 5-7 Years of experience in civil construction.
  • Strong desire for success, self-starting and self-motivated individual. Willingness to learn and contribute to a team
  • High level of integrity and ethics.

Responsibilities

  • Solicit proposal opportunities from Customers, develop new customers, maintain existing customers.
  • Perform complete and accurate quantity take-offs, prepare proposal for customers.
  • Solicit subcontractors and materials suppliers as necessary for projects and proposals.
  • Material procurement; including submittal drawing approvals, coordination of deliveries with field as req.
  • Help tradespeople interpret project plans, specifications and schedule. Inform of budget status and trends
  • Assist project controls, including budgeting, scheduling and planning; perform regular project status reviews.
  • Secondary field crew time-sheet approval
  • Prepare Monthly Payment applications, and change orders as necessary; deliver to customer timely
  • Follow up on Accounts receivable.
  • Coordinate with project superintendents on project progress.
