About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Estimator III with 5-10 years of estimating experience, preferably with a background in nuclear projects. The role involves supporting the review and revision of estimates in the current capital plan. The ideal candidate will work with minimal supervision and produce comprehensive project cost estimates to support budget allocation for expenses and capital projects.

Requirements

5-10 years of experience in estimating, with nuclear project experience a plus.
Proficiency in producing detailed project cost estimates.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Experience with value estimating and conceptual forecasting.
Strong analytical skills to develop productivity rates and enhance estimate validity.
Familiarity with estimating software such as WinEst or InEight is desired.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Produce total project cost estimates for site budgets related to expenses and capital projects.
Determine labor hours, engineering and construction costs, and material costs for construction projects.
Conduct value estimating to provide project alternatives for critical cost decisions.
Estimate small projects (under $150K) efficiently to ensure effective execution without large-scale infrastructure.
Prepare engineering forecast/conceptual estimates based on minimal information and assumptions.
Develop manhour productivity rates using past project cost history or minimal task-specific information.
Collaborate with a team of estimators and cost engineers to improve estimating databases and tools.
Evaluate and implement efficiencies for estimating and engineering processes to ensure ongoing effectiveness.
Develop and prepare project reports and databases as directed by the Project Controls Manager.
Maintain working documents in compliance with company guidelines.
Interface with all disciplines, including engineering, construction, and procurement.
Utilize software such as WinEst or InEight for estimating purposes.
