The position involves analyzing contract documents, plans, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to determine costs associated with precast concrete scope.

Requirements

• Associates Degree (2 year) or an equivalent combination of experience/training is needed.
• 1 to 3 (+) years of related experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment and the production of high-quality products.
• Review contract documents to determine precast scope of work.
• Perform accurate takeoff of precast components.
• Utilize Excel spreadsheets to determine plant, freight, and field operations costs associated with the project.
• Prepare estimates to be used by management, sales, planning, engineering, and field operations in scheduling work and preparing bids.
• Consult with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues as requested by Sales personnel.
• Complete duties and responsibilities in the appropriate time frame with minimal supervision.
• Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data for effect cost reductions.
• Interface with other individuals in the organization to obtain support and commitment to cost estimates.
• Visualize and/or create 3-D precast concept from 2-D contract drawings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Understand engineering concepts regarding general structural concepts, connections, component limitations, and constructability.
