Tilson Homes looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team in the Houston area as an Estimator.

Requirements

Must have full working knowledge of architectural plans, details, section views, red lining, and takeoffs.
Must be able to proficiently complete complex estimating tasks for projects in various design and construction phases.
1-3 years of experience in the home building industry or a Bachelor in Construction Management.

Responsibilities

Process job cost estimates for single-family housing units from 3D BIM (Building Information Modeling).
Review project plans, specifications, and requirements and incorporate them into estimates.
Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and unit pricing.
Identify cost-saving techniques, materials, and procedures.
Perform cost comparison and analysis as requested.
Create and maintain formulas and program estimating software to ensure accurate information in the estimating database.
