About The Position

The Commercial Estimator is responsible for leveraging the Commercial Account Managers’ efforts by compiling and inputting project quotes to present to customers. Assist Commercial Account Managers’ in achieving and maintaining excellent customer satisfaction and build the brand within the commercial industry as their premier choice for window and door solutions. Continually strive for 100% 'Very Satisfied' customers, growth as measured by market share/net sales and profitability.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Reviews blueprints, notes, specifications, take-offs and prepares an accurate and detailed quote for Commercial Account Managers to leverage their time prospecting quoting opportunities.
  • Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
  • Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Develops strong proficiency with applicable products and PQM to review and prepare quotes.
  • Provides back up support for Project Coordinators in times of heavy volume or off-time, including reviewing contracts and verifying product detail from the Commercial Account Managers’, verifying product need dates with customers, confirm and schedule deliveries, routing deliveries, scheduling any value add work, coordinating and scheduling installations of products with subcontractor installers.
  • Promotes and facilitates continuous improvement activities in the department. Finds root cause of missed sales and help coordinate solutions.
  • Understands and utilizes all necessary software by continually learning through experience and training.
