About The Position

The Estimator II at Maronda Inc. is responsible for creating and maintaining accurate cost estimates across various product lines in home building. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can manage projects with minimal supervision and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 2-3 year advanced Diploma in Civil or Architectural Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years' experience in the construction industry.
• Comfortable in all aspects of Microsoft Office Applications.
• Proficient in reading blueprints.
• Computer literate.
• Detail oriented with the capability to concentrate on quality and accuracy.
• Able to meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Communicate in a persuasive and highly effective manner.

Responsibilities

• Complete the initial base house and option estimates.
• Make adjustments to estimates based on feedback from the field.
• Review the blueprints and request changes and/or clarifications as needed.
• Implement new options for the divisions as requested.
• Create parts and load pricing for new projects.
• Collaborate with Field Coordinators on ways to value engineer our product.
• Review and process bids as needed in a timely manner.
• Work with other team members as needed to meet specific goals.
