The Neighborhood Contract Manager (NCM) will be responsible for cost estimates, scoping physical work and performing physical inspections of work performed. This role reports directly to the Neighborhood Administrator and will work closely with Supers and other Property Management staff to oversee contractors and contracted work at the development level. The NCM will also coordinate with central procurement to ensure contracted work is performed ethically and at a reasonable cost. This role will involve physical activities such as: - Walking to and from inspection sites and during inspections. - Climbing and descending ladders or stairs to get to areas to be inspected. - Standing for extended periods of time; working in confined areas; wearing hard hats and other protective clothing in construction areas; bending and stooping during inspections; climbing over and around various objects; working in areas that may be hot, cold, damp, dark, dusty, smoky or acrid; working outdoors, including in natural areas, in all kinds of weather. - Potentially coming into contact with rodents and/or insects; may be required to wear DEET.
