About The Position

We are in search of a candidate to join our team that has Commercial Construction Estimating Experience in Metal Stud Framing, Drywall, and ACT. We conduct work in the Northwest and Pacific Regions (Idaho, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon & Montana) on Federal, State, and Private Commercial Projects. Candidates must be willing to relocate to our Spokane/Coeur d'Alene Area.

Requirements

• 10 years minimum experience in Commercial Estimating.
• Experience in Metal Stud Framing, Drywall, and ACT.
• Experience with Estimating Software such as The Edge (preferred) or OST and Quick Bid.
• Extensive math skills along with Microsoft Office Software.

Nice To Haves

• Field experience would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide and/or coordinate full estimating services on small to large-complex projects and all types of contracts.
• Evaluate and incorporate historical data from subcontracts, purchase orders, productivity analysis reports, etc., into unit and man hour figures.
• Evaluate project/proposal specifications and drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc., to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Provide complete conceptual and/or hard bid estimates on assigned projects.
• Compute cost factors and prepare estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing and scheduling work.
• Examine estimates of materials, equipment and production costs, performance requirements and delivery schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Ensure all working documents and data are maintained to back-up estimate calculations.
• Assist in preparation of inquiries and final evaluation of submitted bids as required.
• Continual review and recommendations to cost estimating procedures to reduce future discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.
• Identify cost trends to assist management in cost reduction and process improvement efforts.
• Work well in a strong team environment.
• Perform other assignments as directed.
